Nike Skateboarding Microsite

I have been doing some research around microsites and I have found this one that Nike have done which I really like.
It is something different from the main Nike site and works well for the target audience I want to aim my microsite at.
I think it is a really good feature that the user can view the trainers at all angles and rotate it around.
The site is simple, clean but at the same time it is not boring. I really like the use of a photograph background as well which I would like to use.

For the page that shows the shoes I am promoting I don't want to do the usual grid layout that you find on most shopping websites, I want to do something new, interesting and different. This idea could be a possibility for that.

Feedback and new thoughts

After this weeks lesson I have decided to take the idea forward of creating a microsite for 1350. The background imagery will be photographs that are relevant to after a football match, so the changing rooms. I now need to think about what content will go into this site and how many pages it will need.
I also need a drive to get people to view this microsite, so it could be a poster. The poster is the obvious idea and may get ignored by the target audience I am aiming the microsite at.
A piece of ambient media may work, something that gets the audience involved and makes them intrigued and want to go onto view the microsite.

Umbro Website

http://www.umbro.com/#/?locale=en_GB

I have been looking at the Umbro site, and sites which I believe are Umbros competitors such as Reebox, Puma, Gola etc and even Nike, which I consider to be a make that Umbro wish to be as big as, as Nike is seen to be the most popular make with the target audience as it is seen as the "coolest" make and kids like to be cool with their friends.
So when I have been looking at the Umbro site I noticed that it was very plain, simple and basic.

So my first idea for the brief was to create a microsite for the new the lifestyle football range, 1350. A site that represented the new products, 1350, as the new cool make that everyone should have.
